Steve Says...
We appreciate the
partnership we have with our
customers and people with
whom we have various other
relationships. We want to
make sure that our
communications with you
remain honest and valuable.
Towards this end, we have
committed to providing a
newsletter to keep you
informed of landscaping
issues, seasonal
announcements, new services
and new products,
landscaping realted tips,
items that you may find
interesting, and notice of
special offers and
discounts. We will also
include nice photos, random
artilces on interesting
topics, a contest once in
awhile, referrals to other
contractors, whatever. We
will keep it short and,
hopefully, easy to navigate.
We also intend to send
email notices when something
important comes up that we
feel we have to share with
you. For example, our
recent warning regarding
lawn fungus. I was at a
customer's house whose lawn
was not looking as good as
we expect our lawns to
look. I was not surprised to
learn, obviously because
of the damp weather, that
the lawn was infected with a
fungus. I happened to
look down the street and
realized that most of
the lawns had some fungus -
some were just starting and
others were badly
infected. So, we sent out a
note in case any of our
customers noticed something
was going on with their
lawn.
But, we don't want to bother
anyone with emails that they
don't welcome. If you do not
want to continue to receive
our communications, please
scroll down and use the easy
opt-out button below.
As always, I thank you for
your interest in and loyalty
to, Steve's Landscaping.
Sincerely, Steve

My Favorite Project
Last month, I installed a 9-hole
putting green at a beautiful
house in Mantoloking, at the
shore. The trick was to make it
look like an organic part of the
property and to fit the putting
greens around the pool, patio
and the rest of the landscaping
elements. It was a challenge,
but it came out fantastic!
There are
more pictures of this and
other putting greens on our
website.
Price
matters to you and quality
matters to us.

Wolf!
My son and I, along with
others from our Cub Scout
Pack, visited the Lakota
Wolf Preserve on a recent
Saturday. It was one of the
rare Saturdays this
season that it did not rain,
so we enjoyed the easy,
half-mile hike up to the
fenced in habitat areas.
Once there, the tour guide,
who is also one of the
owners of the property, gave
us a fascinating overview of
the wolves, how they ended
up in the preserve, how they
behave and interact with
humans, what they eat,
...

Randolph Freedom Festival
2009
Once again, one of our trucks
participated in the Randolph
Freedom Festival Parade, 4th of
July weekend. Cub Scout pack
50, Fernbrook School, did a
lovely job decorating the truck
and they marched along behind
it, tossing candy to the crowd.
We followed the rock band and
the Pogo Stick stunt team. It
was a great day!

"I couldn't help but say to
[Mr. Gorbachev], just think
how easy
his task and mine might be
in these meetings that we
held if suddenly, there was
a threat to this world from
another planet. [We'd] find
out once and for all that we
really are all human
beings here on this earth
together."

Reagan, 1985

Weathering the Weather!
Wow! Are we happy the cold, wet weather
seems to finally be over! Thanks for
your patience and understanding about
the scheduling upsets caused by the
